Could this be the power supply gone bad or is it just dead? I am not very computer savvy but would like to avoid a costly repair bill if I can figure this out on my own. i did however troubleshoot it down to that by checking the voltage on the CMOS battery, inspecting all USB ports for damage, checking the motherboard for darkened or discolored areas, ensuring there were no pinched cables (shorts)

I see that there is some twisting of the monitor wire inside the casing, but in reality, there are a LOT of tiny wires inside the sheathed coil that I really don't want to open up like a biopsy. Later that day when I restarted the tablet it didn't boot, the power LED just turned on, nothing else happened, no fans spinning, nothing on the screen what so ever

I unscrewed the back of the laptop to have a better look at the fan, on startup the fan is working, but seems to be at a constant speed, it works and stops quietly...

Not impressed, I never had this problem before sending it to them for the display issue! I'm not convinced I need a new battery and I'm not convinced they didn't stuff something up knowing my warranty was pretty much up. I hit the power button without even bothering to close the case properly and bingo! We have an operational system! The other thing which made more sense to me was resetting the power plans via the windows command prompt
