What should I do? Actually I wanted to transfer movies from mac to my iphone but it says something like my iphone is not sync to this macbook itunes library, so they want to erase and syn it(which means it will become empty i guess). Although the libraries will merge, will they still sync individually ? Could anyone suggest a way to back up directly my iPhone contacts to my computer (as an offline copy)? It will update the pictures, but is not adding any of the other information that it is suppose to udpate such as the link to their fb profile and any other contact details

Have you tried to shut off all other Bluetooth devices within range before syncing through the phone? If so, then try to do the same on your laptop, ipad, and pc. Wish I had read the comments before buying! What can I do to get these photos into iPhoto? Instead of restarting my computer like other suggestions, I just turned my phone off (whilst connected to the computer), quit iPhoto, turned my phone back on. I'm so glad it worked for you!
